The grant sponsors free professional development seminars during the school year.  These diverse sessions will provide an opportunity to invigorate your teaching and take a fresh perspective back to your students.  Seminars are open to all K-12 teachers in the respective Service Cooperative Regions.

National History Day

The grant provides services from the Minnesota Historical Society (MHS) to support the involvement of southern Minnesota schools in National History Day.  Full-day teacher training sessions will be conducted each year in southeast and southwest Minnesota to prepare teachers with strategies to facilitate students’ History Day projects.  MHS staff will also provide continued assistance to teachers in each region to support History Day implementation in their classrooms throughout the school year.
